Ralph Vacchiano reports that the Giants brought in free agent RBs Beanie Wells and Jonathan Dwyer for workouts on Tuesday.
Howard Balzer adds former Seahawks and Patriots RB Leon Washington to that list as well.
Clearly, the Giants are looking for some additional behind David Wilson now that Andre Brown will be out for at least a portion of the 2013 season season following a leg fracture he suffered in the team’s final preseason game.
Wells has generated almost no interest the entire offseason since the Cardinals cut him loose.
A recent report indicated that the Steelers were concerned about Dwyer not taking his job seriously. This is the first reported visit for him.
Washington was just released by New England, so he hasn’t had a lot of time to make the rounds and visit with prospective teams.
