Giants CB Terrell Thomas' Career In Doubt After Latest Knee Injury

Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas suffered a right knee injury “involving the ACL,” the Giants said, and it’s one that could put his once-promising career in jeopardy. A source familiar with the injury said Thomas likely has a partial tear of the ACL, an injury that likely ends his 2012 campaign before it even got started. According to the Giants, the next step is to consult with Dr. Arthur Ting, the physician who handled Thomas’ two previous ACL injuries. While the severity of the injury hasn’t yet been determined, it places Thomas’ NFL future in serious doubt. No NFL player has come back from three ACL injuries to the same knee, although Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis is attempting to do so this season.
