One week after suffering an injury to his already-rebuilt right ACL, cornerback Terrell Thomas is returning to Giants training camp at the University of Albany, coach Tom Coughlin announced on Monday. The cornerback will then rehab his troublesome right knee with the team in hopes of returning to action this season. Thomas could arrive by Tuesday. “The suggestion on the part of the group of doctors that have looked at Terrell Thomas is that we try to rehab him,” Coughlin said. “(We will) see how he does, and if he can get back on the field, to do so.” The news provided a glimmer of hope for Thomas, who sat out the entire 2011 campaign after tearing his right ACL in a preseason game. The corner had hoped for a dominant return this season, and he’d opened camp by promising to be a “full go”.
