WASHINGTON - APRIL 30: New York Giants President and Chief Executive Officer John Mara (R) speaks while President George W. Bush (C) and quarterback Eli Manning stand nearby during an event to honor the Super bowl XLII Champions on the south lawn of the White House, April 30, 2008 in Washington DC. Last February the Giants beat the New England Patriots 17 to 14, in one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl history. (Photo by Mark Wilson/Getty Images)

Asked John Mara if NY was big enough for the Giants and Tim Tebow: "I don't know, but the David Carr press conference will be tomw, too."—
Bob Glauber (@BobGlauber) March 25, 2012

Besides Tim Tebow using the word “excited” at a record-setting rate, the best part of his press conference actually stems from comments by Giants co-owner John Mara.

When asked about Tebow’s arrival to New York, Mara quipped that David Carr’s press conference will be on Tuesday.

A former starter with the Houston Texans, Carr is now Eli Manning’s backup and a rich man.

Nicely done Mr. Mara.

  • Come on Mara - you won the SB last year - for god's sake son -show some damn class! What do you or why do you care who the Jets sign - unless you have a jealousy factor brewing! I would think you would show more class than to make stupid comments about who another team signs. The Giants are a good club -but as of late it's not only players that are showing their behinds - it seems to be management too!
