CJ Sports NFL Talk:
Giants DE JPP To Redskins QB RG3: Don’t Bring It To My Side -
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had one of the best rushing games of any quarterback in NFL history on Sunday. Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul says that if Griffin thinks he’s going to run well on the Giants this week, he should think again. Specifically, JPP told RGIII that running toward Pierre-Paul’s side of the field would be a mistake. “Don’t bring it to my side,” Pierre-Paul said. “Go the other way.” Pierre-Paul says the Giants’ defense has the athleticism to keep Griffin in check. “Trust me, we chase quarterbacks all time,” Pierre-Paul said. “We turn and run to the ball, no matter what. He may get past us and zoom right past us, but trust me we’re right behind him. You’ve got to respect that too. It’s not all about the speed. We’ve got guys, all 11 guys that can run to the ball very quick. You’d be surprised. Very surprised.” Griffin has already surprised a lot of defenses so far in his bri

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul must feel pretty good about himself after he broke out of his funk and terrorized the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
He must also feel good about his chances of putting some heat on the Washington Redskins Robert Griffin III after watching teams such as the Atlanta Falcons lay multiple licks on him.
Today he said that he has some advice...
LEADERSHIP IN WASHINGTON
The Redskins rookie quarterback understands that he has to assume the role of team leader and doesn't appear to be backing down from the responsibility.
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is ready to face Washington rookie phenom Robert Griffin III on Sunday. He even offfered some words of caution. "Don't bring it to my side," Pierre-Paul told the New York Daily News. "Go the other way." Pierre-Paul expects the Redskins' fleet quarterback to try to run at a Giants defense that he believes...
After last week’s loss to the Redskins, Vikings defensive end Jared Allen said he isn’t ready to say quarterback Robert Griffin III is a great player.“I’m not going to crown him anything yet,” said Allen, per Comcast Sports, via Black Sports Online. He had a good game. Hats off to him, he ran really well. But to be great in this league, you have to do it for years and years...
Robert Griffin III's look back at his 76-yard touchdown run was surprisingly analytical.
''I didn't realize how much I slowed down at the end, when was looking back at the guy,'' the Washington Redskins rookie quarterback said Wednesday. ''I was enjoying the moment. I usually don't do stuff like that. But I talked to a bunch of the players and...
Robert Griffin III has apparently earned the respect of Osi Umenyiora.
The Giants defensive end didn't buy into the hype of the Redskins rookie quarterback prior to the season, and thus said he'd only refer to the Heisman Trophy winner as "Bob."
However, as the two NFC East teams get ready to battle on Sunday, Umenyiora is giving Griffin some...
Defense rules this week’s Rookie Report, as do second-day draft picks. Just one offensive player found his way onto the list this week, but that’s only because I can’t write about Robert Griffin III every time. Only two of the following eight players were taken outside of the 2nd or 3rd round and Chris Tripodi will let you know which first-year players are starting to hit their...
I am back again within the walls of my mythical fantasy football stock exchange, watching the buzz for hot players and the desperate unloading of injured and poor performing players.
