Giant’s defensive tackle, Rocky Bernard, has a few words about Mike Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line.

In 13 games last year, Vick was sacked a total of 23 times.  This year, through the first three games, he has been sacked 9.

“I know a lot of people want to blame it on the offensive line, but I think usually when stuff like that happens, it works both ways,” Giants defensive tackle Rocky Bernard said. “Blocking also maybe he’s holding the ball a little too long, trying to make the big play every time instead of taking what the defense gives you.”

Vick is throwing for more yards per game than he did last year, but his QB Rating in 2012, 66.2, is almost 20 points lower than his 2011 total.

“He’s not inhuman. You can’t take that many hits and survive in this league so they’re going to have to change something. I don’t know what.”

With key players out for the Giants (Rolle, Nicks, etc.) the Giants will need to get to Vick early and often.
