Safety Kenny Phillips had hoped to play in the Giants' big game on Sunday night in Dallas, but to no one's surprise he will not. Phillips, who has an MCL sprain in his left knee, did not make the trip to Dallas with the Giants this afternoon. He had not practiced all week and was listed as "doubtful" but has now been downgraded to "out". Despite his optimism, Phillips had always been expected to miss at least this game, and possibly next Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins, too, according to a source familiar with his situation. Phillips admitted the doctors had told him he'd miss 2-3 weeks.
