The Giant Exiles:
New York Giants
The Giants' final injury report of the week shows a good amount of starters will miss Sunday's game. Not good for a Giants' team that desperately needs a win.
The offensive line will be in trouble this week. Both David Baas and Chris Snee are out. The Giants had hoped David Diehl would be back in time for the game, but he is listed as doubtful.
Backup tight end Adrien Robinson will miss the game with a foot injury. Robinson has been out since the preseason.
Cornerback Corey Webster is listed as out for Sunday's game. Terrell Thomas, who missed practice yesterday with a banged up knee, is listed as probable for Sunday.
Fullback Henry Hynoski is out for the season after fracturing his shoulder last Sunday. The Giants signed John Conner to replace Hynoski.
Safety Cooper Taylor and linebacker Jacquian Williams are both listed as questionable; Taylor with a shoulder issue and Williams with a knee problem.
Linebacker Spencer Paysinger is listed as probable...
BEST OF MAXIM
During Sunday’s post-game press conference, Giants head coach Tom Coughlin referred to their second offense as a “debacle.”
Coughlin even said that when their offense struggles the way it has, “play-calling is like throwing darts at a board.”
The Giants offense converted one out of 14 third down conversion attempts. Most of those attempts were third and long.
If the New York Giants have any chance of salvaging this season, it sounds like the team believes it will have to pin their slim hopes on the broad shoulders of a Manning or two. If there was ever a good time for Giants quarterback Eli Manning to cash in on a family favor — it couldn't have come at a better time than this weekend. As the Oh-and-four Giants regroup after...
Despite an 0-4 start, New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle believes his team can run the table and win their final 12 regular season games.
“I believe we can go 12-0 from this point on,” Rolle said Monday via ESPNNewYork.com. “People can look at me like I’m crazy, but you know I could really give a damn at this point. This is what I truly believe. I know the talent of this...
Giants safety Antrel Rolle admitted that he doesn’t think everyone believes they can turn things around this season after a dreadful 0-4 start.
“No, I really don’t,” he said. “Honestly speaking, I really don’t believe that everyone believes we can win within our locker room.”
Rolle says he’s trying to get everyone on the same page.
“There’s guys that haven’t...
Being 0-4 for the second time in his coaching career hasn't cost Tom Coughlin his sense of humor.
The two-time Super-Bowl winning leader of the New York Giants was ready Monday when asked about receiver Victor Cruz's postgame criticism of his decision to punt one day earlier on fourth-and-less than a yard from the New York 30 with the team down 10-7.
The ensuing punt was...
Antrel Rolle thinks the Giants can still make the playoffs despite their 0-4 start. He may be a little crazy considering only one 0-4 team has ever made the playoffs, but he may also have a point.
The Giants are only two games behind the Cowboys and have one left to play against them. That means in the eleven other games they must make up at least one game on the Cowboys....
Tom Rock of Newsday reports that Giants G Chris Snee‘s hip tear is impacting his ability to move his leg.
Snee played through a hip injury for a few years before undergoing surgery this offseason, but he unfortunately injured his other hip.
“This one has the pain, but he can’t move,” a source told Newsday. “If they don’t get the joint to move again, [surgery] is probably...
The Giants had high hopes for the 2013 season. Those have flown out the window after the first four weeks, and Kansas City's Dexter McCluster delivered the dagger Sunday.
After a mediocre showing on offense, the Giants were forced to punt in the third quarter. McCluster fielded the punt at the Kansas City 11-yard line and made eight defenders miss as he cruised into the end...
Antrel Rolle may be among the most positive Giants remaining in the locker room, but a brutally honest comment by Rolle may reveal part of the reason why the Giants have been off to a horrible start to the season.
During his weekly radio interview with WFAN, Rolle stated that not everyone in the locker room believes in the Giants this year. Per New York Daily News:
Uncertain when David Baas or Chris Snee might return the Giants today fortified their offensive line when they signed Dallas Reynolds who started 14 games at center last season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 0-4 Giants host the Eagles (1-3) this Sunday in MetLife Stadium.
To make room on their roster the Giants waived running back Da’Rel Scott their second-leading rusher this...
With injuries to David Baas and Chris Snee, the Giants needed to get some support for their offensive line. To make room on the roster for center Dallas Reynolds, who the Giants signed today, they had to release Da'Rel Scott. Scott was the team's second leading rusher.
Reynolds comes to Giants via the Philadelphia Eagles. It's always a great thing when you can...
The New York Giants have dropped to 0-4. This is the first time that has happened to the team since 1987. During Sunday’s match up against the Kansas City Chiefs. During the 3rd quarter, Chiefs Dexter McCluster scored on an 89-yard punt return for a touchdown to give Kansas City a 17-7 lead.
After McCluster scored, he hit his version of Victor Cruz’s salsa dance in the end zone...
One New York Giants' offensive lineman feels that the line collectively can patch things up in time for Sunday and finally put an end to the losing streak. To get more info on the Giants offensive line woes and all things Big Blue, stay tuned to The Giants Beat.
The New York Giants kept things close with the Kansas City Chiefs for two quarters, but the floodgates opened in the second half leading to yet another lopsided loss to start the year.
