The New York Giants top two running backs are questionable
as they head into today’s contest against the Washington Redskins. Ahmad
Bradshaw continues to be hampered by a foot injury while Andre Brown is
recovering from a concussion. Both players could be available today, reports
Stephanie Bell of ESPN.
It's a familiar refrain:
Bradshaw has a sore foot. Bradshaw, however, says that it is not related to
past issues he has had with his foot (metatarsal stress fractures) but rather
that this episode is the result of someone stepping on his foot in Week 6.
While Bradshaw missed practice Friday, he was able to
participate Thursday and coach Tom Coughlin told reporters that he expects him
to play. Brown was out Week 6 due to a concussion but has practiced all week.
Bell believes both running backs could be active against the
Redskins, which would make Bradshaw the starter. However, depending on his
condition he could share carries with Brown and David Wilson.
The Giants also activated defensive tackle Chris Canty from
the physically unable to perform list yesterday and he will be active against
Washington. His addition is expected to help the team’s run defense.
