Found November 07, 2012 on NFL Injury Report:
While New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin didn’t offer injury updates on running back Andre Brown or defensive lineman Chris Canty, he did shed light on safety Kenny Phillips and linebackers Chase Blackburn and Keith Rivers, reports Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com. Brown sustained a shoulder injury during Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Canty injured his groin. Coughlin didn’t update either player’s status, but did say that Blackburn and Rivers could return to practice this week. Coughlin added that the Giants didn’t feel ready to play Phillips last weekend against the Steelers. The safety told reporters last week that he was ready to return, and Coughlin confirmed his absence wasn’t due to a setback but simply a decision made by the team. Tight end Martellus Bennett appeared to injure his leg Sunday as he was walking with a noticeable limp following the game, according to Youngmisuk. However, Bennett no longer appears to be hampered by whatever minor injury he sustained last weekend.
