The Giants been bitten by the injury bug one again: As we all know Eli Manning has plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He has been suffering from this injury for a few weeks but aggravated it on Sunday against the Chiefs. The good news is Manning is expected to practice this week and should not miss any game time due to the injury. It seems that a combination of stretching, pain medication and tape should allow Eli to play through the injury with some slight discomfort. Manning has played through pain before and seems to think this injury will not be a big deal. However, if the Giants get an early lead on the Raiders this weekend, expect David Carr to take the reigns of the Giants offense. UPDATE: Manning will not practice today. He wanted to go, but the training staff thought Eli would be better off with another day of rest, so David Carr will be running the first team offense in practice today.
