According to Yahoo.com via the New York Post the New York Giants are interested in re-signing Plaxico Burress, who should be released from prison on good behavior within two to three weeks. As we all know, Burress has been in prison stemming from bringing a gun into a New York City night club on November 28, 2008 and shooting himself in the leg. Once he is released from jail, Burress will enter a work-release program and will still be suspended by the NFL, which would preclude him from joining any team right away. Giants General Manager Jerry Reese told the post “We’ll investigate it.” I have no idea if this news has anything to do with Hakeem Nicks injuring his right knee at the end of practice yesterday, and highly doubt that the team is considering bringing back the soon-to-be 33 year-old big target. The passing game, thought to be a weakness without Burress, has become a strength as Eli Manning and the Giants young receivers have made great strides. I take this...
