The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants season opener is less than a week away, but the trash talking between the two teams is already in mid-season form. After Jerry Jones spoke earlier in the preseason about just how bad he wanted to "beat the Giants asses" to the fans visiting training camp in Oxnard, Calif., Giants linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka decided on Thursday to fire back at the Cowboys owner. "He should. I mean, the Giants have been whupping his ass for a long time," Kiwanuka said on New York radio station WFAN's Boomer and Carton show. "I mean it has to be tough on the outside looking in on all these championships lately." The Giants have won six of the last eight matchups with the Cowboys and are currently undefeated at the new Cowboys Stadium against Dallas. The Giants have won two Super Bowls since the Cowboys last raised the Lombardi Trophy in 1995. And with the Giants most recent Super Bowl win, Kiwanuka doesn't feel that it is just the Cowboys who want to take down the reigning champions. "That's the feeling I feel like everybody in the league has and everybody should have because we're on top and everybody should be wanting to knock you off," Kiwanuka said.
