The Giants pulled promising rookie RB David Wilson after he coughed up a fumble in the 24-17 loss to the Cowboys on opening night and never went to him again on offense.
There appeared to be a moment where Wilson was crying after the fumble on the sideline, but he denied that was the case. Either way, you have to wonder about the psyche of a rookie who was benched in his first game, one that just happened to set broadcast records.
But Pro Football Weekly heard the Giants are not anywhere close to being worried about the rookies state of mind. They know he has to learn how to carry the football better and they believe this is much more of a physical concern getting him to change his grip than a mental one. Source: Pro Football Weekly

Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are the starters for the New York Giants, but history has shown that the Giants like to change wide receivers almost every year. Since Plaxico Burress’s gun incident, the New York Giants have been trying to find the perfect tandem for Eli Manning, but every year a wide receiver comes and then they go.
Other than being one of the most decorated coaches in the NFL, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is widely regarded as being one of the most stand-up individuals around the league. Today, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund announced that it will be holding the eighth annual Champions for Children Gala at Cipriani (110 East 42nd street between Lexington and Park Ave.) in Manhattan...
Eli Manning had a poor week 1 in the opening game against the Cowboys. Throwing for 213 yards and 1 touchdown, look for Eli to improve as the year progresses. As we have seen from previous seasons, he tends to start slow and then gets hot the second half of the season.
Victor Cruz captured the hearts of many NFL fans with his electric, record-breaking play, entertaining touchdown celebrations and his genuine, humble demeanor on and off the field as a member of the Super Bowl-winning New York Giants last season. But just as quickly as this star was born, it could burn out all the same if he continues to play at a level so unpleasantly displayed...
