With the New York Giants in a position where they may have to cut veteran OL David Diehl, the big fella might have his huge Totowa Boro, NJ house on the market as a preemptive strike. Diehl is set to make over $4 million from the Giants this year.
Last we checked, NFL still stood for “Not For Long.” We’ve seen numerous forever homes become real estate fodder. Remember Hines Ward’s house? He had that place custom built like a W hotel and had it on the market the same year he retired.
Maybe Diehl is just downsizing.

Osi Umenyiora is a free agent, and the defensive lineman is making big promises about what he will achieve next season once he signs.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, there’s already a ton of interest in New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz as a restricted free agent and the new league year hasn’t even started yet. The Giants will likely give Cruz a first round tender, but that may not keep a team from signing him. The New York Giants slot receiver almost certainly will receive a first...
According to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network, cornerback Cory Webster restructured his contract taking a pay cut to stay with the New York Giants. Webster's sub-par play in 2012 and his $7 million salary for 2013 was too rich for the Giants taste, and the fact the Giants are tight on salary-cap space. Webster had his salary reduced to $4 million in the final year of his contract...
According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Giants safety Kenny Phillips will test the free agent market after listening to the Giants’ offer.
The Giants made an offer to safety Kenny Phillips in the hopes of keeping him off the open market. But it wasn’t nearly enough, according to an NFL source, and any chance of Phillips re-signing in the next few days appear...
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was a guest on Pro Football Talk on the NBC Sports Network as he continues his book tour. He made it clear that he wants wide receiver Victor Cruz to never play for another team.
”We want Victor Cruz to be a Giant, want him to be a Giant forever,” Coughlin told Erik Kuselias. “We have to have some patience here, everybody has...
The New York Giants are keeping their prices the same for season ticket holders for the fourth straight year.
Parking, however, will increase $5 per game.
The Giants, who missed the playoffs last season after winning the Super Bowl the previous season, informed fans of the ticket prices and parking in an email Friday. The price for parking will be $30.
Season ticket holders were...
New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora was a guest on Total Access on the NFL Network. He said that he doesn’t have to sign with a winning team in free agency. His goal heading into next season is to win the defensive player of the year award.
“It wouldn’t have to be a playoff team,” Umenyiora said, per NJ.com.” “It could be anybody pretty much anybody who would...
I can almost guarantee that there will be a mutiny in new York if the Giants let Victor Cruz walk away.
As farfetched as that scenario playing out may seem, Chris Wesseling of NFL.com, wrote that there is a lot of interest in the Pro Bowl receiver who burst onto the scene two seasons ago after the Giants signed him as an undrafted free agent.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport hears there...

Former New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora has waited a long time to be a free agent. He waited so long and is so excited, that he’s just saying anything out his mouth.
Umenyiora was on NFL Network a few hours ago, and was asked about his future and what his plans were. Umenyiora made it clear his next team would be playoff caliber, maybe a player or two away from...
