The New York Giants have released former Arizona Cardinals fourth-round defensive tackle Gabe Watson, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Watson, 27, was signed following the NFL lockout. The 6-foot-3, 333-pounder played collegiately at the University of Michigan. He recorded seven tackles last season. For his NFL career, he has 105 tackles and two sacks. Watson was a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection for the Wolverines.
