The New York Giants have released linebacker Michael Boley after four seasons with the team..
The 30-year-old Boley appeared in all 16 games last year with 11 starts. He was fourth on team in tackles with 84, including 61 solo. He had three interceptions, one in each of the first three games.
He played a major role in the Giants victory over the New England Patriots in last season's Super Bowl, making 10 tackles.
Boley joined the Giants as a free agent in 2009 after four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw recently underwent another foot procedure. I believe’ts it’s his third in roughly three or four years. It’s clear he’s breaking down and the Giants could decide to cut him instead of carrying his $3.75 million contract into the 2013 season, since they’re going to be over the salary cap heading into the new league year.
After being released by the New York Giants on Wednesday, running back Ahmad Bradshaw wouldn’t rule out possibly re-signing for less money.
Bradshaw on WFAN just now said “it was mentioned” he could return to the Giants.

According to ESPN, the Giants' top priority this offseason will be to sign wideout Hakeem Nicks to a long-term contract.Fantasy Spin:New York is putting Hicks' new contract at the top of its to-do list, which is surprising considering that Victor Cruz (who had a much better year than Nicks) is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason. Nicks, who was held without...
Justin Tuck plays defensive end for the New York Giants. Drafted by the Giants in 2005 from Notre Dame, Tuck has helped the Giants win two Super Bowls. The two time All-Pro has 49.5 career sacks and 18 forced fumbles. I recently had a chance to speak with Justin while he was down in New Orleans taking in the Super Bowl festivities. He was working with SUBWAY restaurants as a Famous...
Sucks to be a running back in the NFL sometimes, and especially with bad feet. Per Pro Football Talk, the New York Giants have released running back Ahmad Bradshaw.
The move will safe the Giants $3.75 million in cap space, and hand the job over to 2nd year running back David Wilson provided he can hang onto the football.
Bradshaw rushed for 1,050 yards in 14 games last season and...
The Giants have released running back Ahmad Bradshaw. SOURCE: ProFootballTalkFantasy Spin:Bradshaw would have earned $4.25 million next season. The running back was featured on both of New York's Super Bowl winning teams but also dealt with injuries throughout his tenure. The move opens the door for David Wilson to step into the starting role.
By all means, lose this guy
Today, the NY Giants released three reasonably good players for the simple crime of having played long enough, and well enough, to cost actual money. The moves allow the club to get under the salary cap now, and potentially free up cash later for more important assets like WRs Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. And if you are a fan of the laundry, you'...
The New York Giants are continuing to trim their roster. Three players have been released so far this week clearing roughly $14 million in cap space. LB Michael Boley was the first player released this week. On Wednesday, the Giants released two players. RB Ahmad Bradshaw was shown the door and then later in the afternoon, the team parted ways with DT Chris Canty.
Canty, 30, inked...
