With the 2022 NFL Draft just days away, the New York Giants are reportedly looking to deal away their first-round selection from last season, wide receiver Kadarius Toney.
According to a New York Daily News report, the Giants are looking to trade Toney, who dealt with injuries and on-the-field issues last season as a rookie.
"There was some internal momentum for bailing on Toney during his tumultuous rookie season a year ago," Pat Leonard of the Daily News wrote. "His commitment came into question behind the scenes during his rookie year due to lack of playbook study, poor meeting behavior and frequent injuries."
The report comes just days after Toney was a no-show for the Giants' voluntary mini-camp. Although, it didn't seem to bother first-year head coach Brian Daboll.
"Nobody's asked about the other guys that aren't here," Schoen said of Toney. "Life happens. I've had good conversations with Kadarius and we've been in contact. At the end of the day, it's voluntary."
Kadarius Toney is not with the Giants today, but Brian Daboll isn't concerned:

Toney was the Giants' 20th overall pick in last year's draft out of Florida.
During his rookie campaign, the 23-year-old played in 10 games, starting four. He finished with 39 catches for 420 yards, with no touchdowns.
