Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News put together a great look at some of the Giants key decisions that will have to be made in the coming months. Justin Tuck DE Justin Tuck, 30, seems to have lost a step in regards to his ability to get to the quarterback this year. On top of that, he has a $4.5 million salary coming his way next season, so there’s at least a chance that the Giants could look to shed some salary here. It seems like a safe bet that Osi Umenyiora will be playing elsewhere next season, so the Giants will have to decide whether or not Tuck is capable of regaining his previous form. Hakeem Nicks WR Hakeem Nicks is under contract for another season and has a very reasonable salary of $2.425 million. Vacchiano writes that Nicks’ injury concerns make it hard to properly gauge his true value in terms of total dollars. The fact that they’ve already begun long-term contract discussions with Victor Cruz could suggest that New York may elect to hold off on offering Nicks a long-term deal and wait to see how things play out for him 2013. Corey Webster CB Corey Webster will make $7 million next season, but there’s no question that his play has fallen off this season. Vacchiano mentions that the Giants could ultimately release Webster, but would then find themselves with some question mark seeing as Jayron Hosley and Prince Amukamara would be their starters. At the very least, the Giants could approach Webster about taking a pay cut before deciding whether or not it makes sense to release him outright and look to add extra depth in the free agent market or the draft. David Diehl According to Vacchiano, “there’s no doubt the offensive line will have to be rebuilt.” He adds that David Diehl, 33 and set to make $4.1 million next season, could be asked to take a pay cut or released outright. Vacchiano believes Diehl still provides some versatility to the Giants’ o-line, so he’s at least worth keeping, assuming that he’s willing to adjust his salary.   The post Giants Rumors: Justin Tuck, Hakeem Nicks, Corey Webster, David Diehl appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors.
