According to the team’s website, the New York Giants have signed wide receiver Keith Carlos.
With the Absence of starting receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz at the team’s OTAs, it gives opportunities to they receivers to show what they have.
Carlos will replace running back Jeremy Wright who was waived Friday.
Carlos played at Purdue in 2009 and 2010, first as a wide receiver and then a running back. In his first season, he caught 21 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown and returned five kickoffs for 134 yards.
He had 56 rushing attempts for 314 yards and two touchdowns, and caught five passes for 22 yards in his second season.
Carlos was briefly with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, but has no professional playing experience.

Pierre-Paul is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, but it’s unclear if he will be able to participate in training camp. However, it is believed he will be ready for Week One.
