The New York Giants have signed former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Gabe Watson as a free agent. Watson worked out for the Giants on Tuesday and the team announced his signing late in the afternoon. The 333-pound Watson spent his first five seasons with the Cardinals, starting 21 of 62 regular-season games. He also played in six postseason games, starting the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh in 2009. He has 83 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles. Watson played in seven games last season and had seven solo tackles.
