The New York Giants have signed former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Gabe Watson as a free agent.
Watson worked out for the Giants on Tuesday and the team announced his signing late in the afternoon.
The 333-pound Watson spent his first five seasons with the Cardinals, starting 21 of 62 regular-season games. He also played in six postseason games, starting the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh in 2009. He has 83 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
