NFL Trade Rumors:
Pro Football Talk reports that WR Louis Murphy has signed a one-year deal with New York Giants.
Murphy and the Giants reached an agreement just a day after he visited with the team.
The move adds some much needed depth to the Giants wide receiver unit that figures to lose Domenik Hixon and Ramses Barden at some point.
Murphy wasn’t able to have a big impact for a Panthers team that was clearly in need of a solid No. 2 receiver. He now joins a Giants team that has been great at getting unheralded players to produce in their offense. At this point, Murphy will likely be their No. 4 receiver next season.
