The New York Giants and Victor Cruz are close to agreeing on extension for the undrafted receiver from UMass.
According to ESPN, the structure of the deal has been agreed to.
"From what I hear, they've just agreed on the structure right now," Cruz said Tuesday during an appearance on WFAN radio. "And that's all I'm at liberty to say."
Cruz, 25, is making $540,000 in the final season of his current contract.
For the season, Cruz has 52 receptions for 650 yards and seven scores for the Giants, who are in first place in the NFC East.
