New York Giants
San Francisco 49ers
Millikin Big Blue
The New York Giants (3-2) will play the San Francisco 49ers (4-1) Sunday afternoon at Candelstick Park from San Francisco, CA.
Game starts at 4:25 pm on FOX (TV) and WFAN (Radio).
49ers favorites over Giants.
Spread is - 6.5 points.
My pick is the 49ers.
It's the rematch of 2011 NFC championship game between the Giants and 49ers this coming weekend. It will be a blood bath to the end with both of these teams trying to get a win.
This is a different 49ers team the Giants facing this time around and San Francisco had played dominanting football in the last two weeks, even thought they face bad teams in the Jets and Bills.
Eli Manning will get Hakeem Nicks back in the passing game which should help out the Giants a lot. They need Hakeem Nicks in there so they can give the 49ers secondary matchup problems.
Here the three keys for the Giants in order to win:
(1) Big Blue's pass rush has to get Alex Smith sacked and rattled for most of the game if they will have in chance to stoping the 49ers offense. Also, they have to the running game which has been really good this season for the 49ers and shuting that part of the game won't be easy.
(2) I have been saying this since the start of the season. Eli Manning has to put another dominant game again and he will have Hakeem Nicks back in the lineup which is good news.
(3) How about win the turnover battle, less penaltys and have good ball control throughout the game. These three key stats will be the main difference in the ballgame.
Out: DT Rocky Bernard (Quadricep), RB Andre Brown (Concussion), S Kenny Phillips (Knee)
Questionable: T David Diehl (Knee), WR Hakeem Nicks (Foot), CB Corey Webster (Hand)
Questionable: RB Brandon Jacobs (Knee)
Final score is 49ers 27, Giants 24
