It pains me every single season to see my beloved Eagles get chumped in the playoffs. Our, as in the fans, hopes get as high as a kite and then we get crushed. The point of this post is not to vent my biased opinion towards the Eagles, it is to tell the world how much McNabb needs some help on offense.

First off, let's break down what Mc-Chunky Soup has in his arsenal - Brian Westbrook, DeSean Jackson, Hank Baskett, Jason Avant, Kevin Curtis, Brent Celek, and Correll Buckhalter. These guys make up most of the Birds' offense. While these players are decent and not crap, Donovan still lacks an "every down" wide receiver. Terrell Owens, Chad Ocho Cinco, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings and Laveranues Coles are some examples of what I mean by "every down" receivers. The Eagles need a big guy to line up on the outside that would give Donovan a solid option on unsure or hesitant drives.

The current wide receiver free agents on the market are not so appealing. The best undoubtedly being T.J. Houshmandzadeh. So, what is a team do when they can't find a free agent WR? Look to the draft, that's what they do.

Later on this week, SPORTSgasbord.com will be interviewing DraftHeadquarters.com owner Shawn Zobel. Shawn is considered by many an expert in his field. He will surely do a great job in providing us with some insight as to the Eagles' options as well some of the other top prospects for this year's draft.
