The former Lions quarterback said it's "extremely disappointing" to hear that Brown once purposely allowed an opponent a free shot on him in hopes that he would be injured.
Three very odd plays sum up the frustration that consumed the Detroit Lions in 2012:
Sept. 23 at Tennessee: Trailing by three points in overtime, the Lions faced a fourth-and-1 at the Titans 7-yard line. The plan was to line up and try to draw the defense offsides. But center Dominic Raiola somehow didnt get the word and snapped the ball by mistake. Quarterback Shaun Hill failed...
Four days after breaking the NFL single-season record for receiving yards, Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson was named as a starter to the NFC Pro Bowl team.
Johnson becomes the first Lion to be a Pro Bowler in three consecutive years since running back Barry Sanders was selected 10 straight years from 1990-99.

Mitchell, who played 14 years in the NFL, called out Brown this week in interviews from his home in Utah. "It just really hurt,” Mitchell...

During their first game against the Detroit Lions, quarterback Jay Cutler took a hard hit by defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall thought Suh’s hit was a cheap shot. In fact, some Lions players, particularly Ndamukong Suh, have been labeled as...
Even with the heroics of wide receiver Calvin Johnson it was another week and another loss for the Detroit Lions Saturday night as they fell to the Atlanta Falcons 31-18.
The Falcons swooped into Ford Field and gave the Lions fits as the NFC leaders were in control the whole game putting up 14 quick points eventually taking a 21-6 lead into halftime. It was pretty clear the Falcons...
Last week, former All-Pro offensive lineman, Lomas Brown, admitted that he purposely missed a block in an attempt to get Scott Mitchell injured while the two were teammates with the Detroit Lions. Mitchell did leave the game with a broken finger on his throwing hand when Packers defensive end destroyed him, thanks to Brown’s ole. [...]
