NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters Saturday that he has no issues with how the Washington Redskins' medical staff handled Robert Griffin III's knee injury. However, he expects changes with how non-head injuries are handled during games. Griffin had reconstructive ACL surgery Wednesday after reinjuring his right knee last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. He was clearly hurt early in the game but did not exit until late in the fourth quarter. Seattle beat Washington and advanced to the NFC divisional round. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan was widely questioned for leaving Griffin in the game but Goodell said it was a "medical decision." "Now, people can argue whether it was the wrong decision, but it was a medical decision and that's what we want it to be," Goodell said. "Will we make further changes? Yeah, I would anticipate we will. We'll always look at that and try to see what else we can do to make sure the proper medi...

Why we should stop trying to place blame and just be proud of the Washington Redskins
In the past, it has seemed as though the only way to deal with the Washington Redskins was to pick someone, or something, to direct your anger at and blame for why the team wasn’t able to find success. Likewise, there have always been easy scapegoats, deserving or not, readily available. Often times the quarterback serves this purpose, with some more deserving than others. The...

Reasons Why Robert Griffin III Should Not Be MVP
During the past week I found myself apart of and very amused by my colleague and pal James Fitzgerald’s article and debate, claiming a case could be made for RG3 to be given this season’s NFL MVP award. To his credit, he made several key points to support his argument, but I have details to better support my being the yin to his yang. Robert Griffin III, or by his fan preferred...

Ever since the Redskins and Dr. James Andrews said they expected quarterback Robert Griffin III to be ready in time for the 2013 regular season, those kinds of assuring words surrounding Griffin and his right knee have evaporated. A few days ago, a source told the Washington Post's Mike Jones that the Redskins privately know it's "optimistic" to think their star...
