We all knew that Denver receiver Brandon Marshall was on Roger Goodell's radar but this report in the Denver Post shows just how serious Goodell is about the troubled, but talented Denver receiver.
According to the report, Marshall met with Goodell in New York last week. That is not a good sign for Marshall's chances of playing a full 16-game schedule this season. Goodell, of course, is a noted stickler for players soiling the league's reputation. Marshall has had a laundry list of off-field issues in the past few years and it would not be a surprise if Goodell levies a short suspension, according to sources in the report.
I wouldn't expect a very long suspension, but the fact that Goodell has already met with Marshall is an indication that the commissioner is at the very least considering coming down on the budding star.
DOES GOODELL NEED TO BACK OFF ON THIS ONE OR IS HE JUST DOING HUS JOB?
