AFC East Daily:
BY NICK ST. DENISMike Goodson says he's ready. The New York Jets tailback returns to the lineup this week after having served a four-game suspension that followed his absence from the entirety of training camp for personal issues. While Goodson was able to sit in on meetings and work out at the team's headquarters the last four weeks, he wasn't allowed to practice with the team or attend games. He's been buried in the playbook, but he has a lot of catching up to do from an on-field standpoint.“I’m healthy and strong and ready to play," Goodson said Monday, via Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday. The Jets will undoubtedly try to get Goodson into the mix at running back as soon as possible given Chris Ivory's injury issues and Goodson's Marty Mornhinweg-friendly skill set, but he could first be thrust into action by way of another unit.Goodson has been involved in special teams meetings in recent weeks and may see his speed utilized in the kick return game."...

Florham Park, N.J. - With both Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and Stephen Hill (concussion) leaving yesterday's game with injuries and the possibility that one or both of the receivers won't be able to play this Monday night against the Falcons, the Jets need some sort of spark from someone else on the roster and after completing his four-game suspension Mike Goodson hopes to...

New York Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill has a concussion and his status is uncertain for the team's game next Monday night at Atlanta.
Coach Rex Ryan says Monday that Hill is going through the NFL's concussion protocol after being injured in the Jets' 38-13 loss at Tennessee on Sunday.
After Geno Smith threw an interception on the Jets' second offensive play, Hill...
After a turnover filled Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee, outrage has begun in the Geno Smith era. Not your Josh Freeman-Greg Schiano type outrage, but rather your typical New York Jets outrage. The type that the team isn’t even aware of because it’s created by know-it-all media types and a schizophrenic fan base. “The Jets need a game manager”, “Start Matt Simms”...

Sanchez faces a 4-6 month recovery, according to a person informed of the rehabilation process. That is great news for Geno Smith who has the Jets 2-2. The team is going to struggle […]
Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez traveled to Gulf Breeze Fla. on Monday to have his injured right shoulder re-examined by Dr. James Andrews according to two sources.
Sanchez will continue to rehab the shoulder which has a slight labrum tear instead of having surgery at this time the sources said. Surgery remains a possibility but Sanchez wants to exhaust the rehabilitation process...

Even with the New York Jets’ somewhat soft early season schedule, I would have scoffed at you if you told me the 2-1 Jets were facing off with the 2-1 Titans come Week Four. Yet here we are, excited about our rookie quarterback, proud of how the defense has shaped up, and exhilarated for some young players to still break out with their potential. Before I start getting all teary...
Geno Smith hasn’t taken long to prove that he fits in perfectly with the New York Jets’ team concept. The Jets were down 24-6 in the fourth quarter to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday and had the ball at their 16 when Smith gave his opponent a touchdown. Smith was being pressured by Karl Klug […]
Nashville, TN With the defense playing about as well as anyone could have hoped through three games, the powers at be knew the Jets would go only as far as their rookie quarterback could take them. After a four turnover, 10 penalty, 38-13, beat down at the hands of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Geno Smith certainly did more to harm his team than help it."We just got our...

New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith brought us his own version of the buttfumble against the Tennessee Titans.
Jets wideout Santonio Holmes, who left Sunday's game early in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury, is expected to miss a couple of weeks, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.Fantasy Spin:Holmes had a season-high 154 receiving yards in Week 3, but he managed just one catch, for 25 yards Sunday against the Titans. The Jets will sign David Nelson for depth.
In this game expect the Jets and the Titans to run the ball a lot and more effectively.
1. Last week against the Bills, Jets running back Bilal Powell looked astonishingly incredible running the ball. Although the Bills have a 30th ranked rushing defense, Powell still managed to rack up 149 yards. Powell will also have more playing time against the Titans after RB Chris Ivory has...
The chants for ‘J-E-T-S’ were grounded yesterday in Nashville.
From the opening snap to the final drive in its 38-13 defeat, the New York Jets put forth an abysmal performance against the Tennessee Titans yesterday on the road.
Gang Green quarterback Geno Smith was horrific from the get-go, throwing a pick on his first pass attempt of the game, and continued his league-leading...
