It’s not easy being a Cleveland sports fan.
Each season brings a lot of hope for the Cavaliers, Browns and Indians, but for the last six decades, all of them have ended in disappointment.
On Thursday, popular magazine GQ unveiled its list of the worst pro sports franchises of all-time, and all three Cleveland teams shared the No. 1 spot.
The magazine explained it’s reasoning by saying that “Between the Browns, the Indians, and the Cavaliers, Cleveland last celebrated a title four years before LeBron [James'] mother was born—that’s a combined 152 seasons of futility.”
It’s impossible to dispute that these three Cleveland teams are among the worst franchises in sports history, but a strong argument for that distinction could also be made for the Detroit Lions, who GQ ranked No. 2.
