PLAYERS: Jovan Belcher

When Belcher murdered Kasandra Perkins and then killed himself everyone was concerned about their 4 month old daughter Zoey. The NFL and Chiefs have stepped up to make sure financially at least Zoey will be taken care of, but the question is which grandparents will be the ones in charge of making sure those funds are used for the child and not something else. Belcher’s mother who was in the home and was helping Kasandra and Jovan take care of little Zoey when the murder happened, had original custody. She claims after sending Zoey to Texas to attend Perkins funeral, that Perkins’ side of the family have cut off all communication with her and not allowing her to see Zoey. It looks like a court will have to decide this. I just hope whoever gets custody realizes that Zoey as she grows up is going to need all of her family, not just one side.
