Nothing says “you suck” quite like accusing an official of not being able to see and offering to fix his or her vision problems for free. In the wake of the mind-boggling call that cost the Packers a win over the Seahawks on Monday night, an eye care provider in Green Bay has offered to do just that for the officials who worked the game. According to FOX 19 in Wisconsin, Dr. Christopher Smith has offered free Lasik surgery to the the most infamous replacement refs in replacement ref history. “Yeah. The referees obviously had some vision issues,” Smith said. “So we decided that we could help them with that.” But here’s the catch. Smith added that if they take him up on the offer, he and his staff will also speak to the officials about decision-making and go over the rules of the game of football. One one hand, if I had vision problems and wanted to save a few thousand bucks I might actually swallow my pride and cash in on the offer — especially since it appears that the regular of...

Green Bay Packers leave Seattle full of whys

In a game that ended on a questionable call by the replacement officials that gave the Seattle Seahawks the game winning touchdown the Packers fell to 1 and 2 on the season.  The first why for the Green Bay Packers is: Why to Aaron Rodgers get sacked eight, yes...

Packers passing game needs a tune-up

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The final play of the Packers-Seahawks game is what will most be remembered by anyone who watched the game. However, with 59-plus other minutes to evaluate, Green Bay (now with a 1-2 record this season) has a lot of work to do. Handing out grades following the Packers' 14-12 loss to the Seahawks: Passing offense: C- Between quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the...

Dear Greg Jennings: More TD’s, Less Commercials

Dear Greg Jennings, This is an open letter to stop filming commercials and start scoring touchdowns! ...Or at least use the skills you showcase in your commercials. (We'll get to that in a bit) Everyone who participates in Fantasy Football is completely flummoxed by your recent inability to score fantasy points. Yes, I know Aaron Rodgers isn't slinging it like he did back...

Packers-Seahawks game calls so bad even the sportsbooks are squawking

Game calls by replacement officials are so bad that it is moving the betting line on NFL games, and on the odds teams will make the post season. Kevin Bradley, Sportsbook Manager for, released this statememt on last night’s refereeing debacle in the Seattle Seahawks - Green Bay Packers game: "Never have I seen such an egregious call that represented such...

Having calmed down enough to post this, I think this could be very well the game and play that vaults the Packers into “BEAST MODE” (please don’t sue me Marshawn).   To me the Packers were a team living on a hot streak from two years ago and lacked just a bit of hyper intensity and you know the whole foaming at the mouth sense of urgency.    And to some degree the fans...

Packers welcome having 'professional' refs

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- There is no team in the NFL happier than the Packers that the regular referees are back on the field. With an agreement reached between the NFL and the Referees Association just 48 hours after the officiating debacle that directly affected the outcome of Monday night's Packers-Seahawks game, there were conflicted emotions inside the Lambeau Field locker room...

Gibs Week 4 NFL Picks

Last week ended on a historic call. The Packers lost a game they shouldn’t have because of the brutal replacement officiating. An interception overturned because of a brutal roughing the passer all. A pass interference call on a 1st & 33 situation that was, if anything, offensive pass interference. Then the finale. The hail mary bomb from Russell Wilson to Golden Tate....
