Green Bay Packer backup quarterback Graham Harrell stepped up last night and proved he is ready for the regular season to begin. Graham Harrell lead the Green Bay Packer offense to a 24-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the final preseason game Thursday night.

While leading the Green Bay offense, which was full of non starters, Graham Harrell completed 13 passes while attempting 15 for 223 yards. During Green Bay's first three preseason games Harrell struggled completing passes and leading the Packer offense to the end zone. Thursday night Green Bays offense was able to put 17 points on the board with two touchdowns coming by the way of passes from Graham Harrell.

The defensive unit was able to contribute to the point total via a Sam Shields interception, which the cornerback ran into the end zone. Concern for the Packer's defense came in the first quarter when B.J. Raji came up limping after hurting his left ankle. Raji did not see any more playing time during the game. With the defense having players who are trying to make the final roster, the Kansas City offense was able to rush for a total of 247 yards and just three points.

As is expected from the last preseason came of the year the overall play of the game was not smooth and Lambeau Field was littered with yellow flags all night long. Green Bay and Kansas City combined for a total of 22 penalties on the night. The replacement officials were able to keep the game moving even with the large amount of penalties that needed to be called on the night.

Next up for the Green Bay Packers is the final roster moves and then time to get on the road to preparing for game one of the 2012 NFL season.
