My hat goes off to the Green Bay Packers and their defense, after posting earlier this week that the time was now to either “put up or shut up” they came to play on Thursday Night Football and sent the Bears home with a black eye. I admit I didn’t see a performance like this coming, while I thought this team would be motivated after a big loss to the San Francisco 49ers and after Jay Cutlers “good luck” wish to the secondary, I never imagined a performance like this. I was harsh on Green Bay earlier this week, after what Jarrett Bush said about “beating themselves, San Francisco didn’t beat them” I had grown tired of the constant chatter from a defense that hasn’t delivered since 2010. I even stated in my title ” time for the Packers to put up or shut up”, and they did exactly that. After watching their performance on Thursday Night Football, not only did the Packers put up, they shut me up. Enough about what they did to me though, lets talk about how they embarrassed Chicago. Comin...

The Bears need Jay Cutler, but Cutler needs a line

Last night, the Chicago Bears showed us something. They had been talked up around the nation, including by yours truly, and they traveled to Lambeau Field hoping to get a quick jump on their arch rivals, the Green Bay Packers. It didn't work out. Where do we start? The Bears defense held its own most of the game. The Packers' first touchdown came off a gutsy, albeit...

Jay Cutler Gets Sacked, Yells at and Pushes His O-Lineman

Can confident Cutler win in Lambeau?

Week 2 Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers The Bears and Packers have a storied rivalry and it is heating back up with two playoff-caliber teams facing off tonight.  Jay Cutler sort of dissed the Packers defense by saying this:  "We've got some dudes that, if you're going to get up in their face, even our speed guys are going to get around them, and our big...

Jay Cutler Yells At, Kind of Shoves His Left Tackle J'Marcus Webb During Loss to Packers (Video)

Maybe the Bears should think about putting Jay Cutler on the offensive line. It couldn't hurt after Thursday night's performance in which the Chicago quarterback was sacked seven times, as the Packers pressured him all night en route to a 23-10 win. The pressure eventually got the best of Cutler both in terms of performance -- four intereceptions -- as well as getting under...

Vote: Is Jay Cutler the Most Overrated Starting Quarterback in NFL?

There's a surprisingly large number of rookie quarterbacks at the helm early on this football season, and the biggest reason could be the lack of good veteran signal callers. You've got your Tom Brady's, your Aaron Rodgers', your Drew Brees' and your Peyton Manning's, who few would dispute are elite. Beyond that batch, however, the waters are muddy. You'...

Packers defense lays down the law

The Green Bay Packers rattled and robbed Jay Cutler and backup tight end Tom Crabtree scored on a fake field goal in the second quarter of a 23-10 victory over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Thursday night. The Packers (1-1) intercepted four Cutler passes, including a pair by Tramon Williams. Facing a fierce pass rush all night, Cutler was sacked seven times, including 3...
