WR A.J. Green said there had been improvement in his hyperextended right knee and that he would attempt to practice.
Said Green: “I’m going to try and go today. We’ll see how it goes. We’re just going to take it day-by-day and see what happens.”
Green, who suffered the injury during the first quarter of the Nov. 13 loss to Pittsburgh, was inactive for last Sunday’s game against Baltimore.
With Dalton getting hurt in the first half of the opener against the Browns and then Green’s injury, both have not finished a division game together. That is something Green hopes will change this week.
“Definitely but it comes with football that people get hurt. Hopefully we can be out there this week though,” Green said.
Green caught only one pass in the opener, but it was a 41-yard touchdown pass from Bruce Gradkowski which gave the Bengals the lead en route to a 27-17 win in Cleveland.
