Chris Johnson has a new backup in Tennessee.
The Titans have reportedly agreed with running back Shonn Greene on a three-year, $10 million contract, according to ESPN.
Greene was a 1,000-yard rusher for the Jets the past two seasons. Greene, though, has failed to show much burst or pass-catching ability since joining New York as a 2009 third-round draft pick.
Greene's pounding style should serve to complement that of the speedier Johnson, who rushed for 1,243 yards and six touchdowns in 2012.
The Jets are expected to make a less pricey free-agent signing to replace Greene.

Lets face facts. No one wants to read about Shonn Greene. Most likely, the vastly underwhelming Greene will be moving on from the New York Jets come free agency. And to be honest, who’s going to take a shot at a guy who’s had a decent offensive...

Shonn Greene was a guaranteed goner the second the New York Jets' 2012 season came to a close.Greene, however, landed on his feet rather quickly. The fifth-year tailback, coming off a season in which he averaged a career-low 3.9 yards a carry and a career high four fumbles, signed with the Tennessee Titans Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. His new deal, which spans...
Well if Chris Johnson plans to break Eric Dickerson’s rushing record or out rush Adrian Peterson next season, he’ll need extra carries or a freak injury to his new running back partner to make that happen.
Adam Schefter is reporting that former Jets running back Shonn Greene has agreed to a three year $10 million deal with the Tennessee Titans.

A day after signing three players on the first day of the new league year, the Titans showed they were even more determined to make a splash in free agency by inking three more players, defensive tackle Sammie Lee Hill, running back Shonn Greene, and linebacker Moise Fokou.
As I noted in yesterday's post, Sammie Lee Hill is a guy I need to get smarter on. The Titans had declared...
The Tennessee Titans started free agency with a bang and continue to shoot off their gun. Not only did they manage to sign the top guard in Free Agency (Andy Levitre) they also were able to sign an up and coming tight end that can not only block but possesses the speed needed to be a difference maker (Delanie Walker).

Running back Shonn Greene has signed a three-year deal with the Tennessee Titans worth $10M.
The Titans were in the market for a power back to complement sparkplug Chris Johnson, but Greene was an odd choice as he is hardly an authority at moving the chains in the trenches, and plays smaller than his 511, 225-pound frame. As long as Johnson stays healthy, Greene should...
When most sports fans hear the name "Chris Johnson", they probably think of the speedy Tennessee Titans running back but the NBA's Chris Johnson threw down one impressive alley-oop tonight.Johnson (who has played for three different NBA teams in the last two years) took a feed from Minnesota teammate J.J.
