Greenway selected to first career Pro Bowl

Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway has been selected to his first career Pro Bowl after finishing the season with a personal-best 174 tackles. Im excited to be going to the Pro Bowl, representing the Vikings and to be there with Jared. I couldnt have done it without a lot of help and support from my teammates and coaches. Even though we didnt have the kind of season we wanted to as far as winning games, we have guys who are proud and want to get back to the top. Im honored to be thought of as a Pro Bowler and will make the most of the opportunity, said Greenway. Greenway finished the 2011 season 174 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery. He will replace injured Bears linebacker Lance Briggs on the NFC team.Prior to the season, Greenway signed a five-year, 41 million contract extension to remain in Minnesota.
