Happy Thanksgiving, all! Family, friends, good health, the Lord, puppy dogs, sunrise — yeah, yeah, all of that stuff, too. But there’s something else football fans are going to be thankful for on this day, and that is the opportunity to jackhammer food into their gaping maws while watching football on TV nonstop from noon to midnight. This is the sixth year of the NFL bird day tripleheader, the seventh holiday appearance by the Dolphins, and the first Thanksgiving since 1998 that finds every participating team coming in hot off a victory. It’s special beyond that, too. In the early game Green Bay will be the first unbeaten team playing on Thanksgiving since 1962. In the middle game Miami — the first team to start 0-7 then win three in a row — tries to keep the miracle alive in Dallas. And the late game, of course, is the Bro Bowl, with brothers John Harbaugh and 15-months-younger Jim in the NFL equivalent of fighting over the last drumstick.
