Greg Jennings was hopeful that he could return this week against the Jags, but that hope has been dampened by a trip to a groin specialist. The Packers offense is clicking on all cylinders right now, so the odds of them rushing him back are slim to none.
We warned you a bit when this injury first occurred, as groin injuries are hard to shake, and Aaron Rodgers has the ability to make those around him better. It is hard to imagine using Jennings in your bye week until after the Packers week 10 bye week, making Jordy Nelson and James Jones valuable commodities. Randall Cobb displayed his play making ability last week, but he lacks the consistent touchdown upside of the other two.
Also worth noting was the fact that the Packers tried to establish the run (Alex Green had 20 carries against St. Louis) last week, but had no success in doing so. The injury to a top receiver would led most teams to committ to a running game, but the Packers are simply more comfortable with the ball in Rodge...
