Pro Football Zone:
Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano was a guest on the NFL Network last night and he made it clear that he still believes cornerback Darrelle Revis will be ready for week one as he continues to rehab from ACL surgery.
I think the best thing that could have happened to Revis was the fact that he tore his ACL early last season, opposed to later on. He’s had almost a full year to let his knee heal.

Darrelle Revis is recovering from a torn ACL suffered while with the Jets last season, and the Bucs are "banking" on him being ready.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Josh Freeman recently admitted to a radio station that he would be “content” in moving on next season. This of course makes perfect sense with the actions of Head Coach Greg Schiano, because Schiano has publically admitted his displeasure with Freeman. In addition to Schiano’s fingers being all over the wasted draft selection of Mike Glennon...
Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman is entering the fifth year of his career after being a first round draft pick by the Buccaneers in 2009, and even though he has made a Pro Bowl, the quarterback is entering the final year of his contract. Freeman signed this contract as a rookie, which included $26 million for five years with over $8 million coming in 2013. One would think that...
It started at the combine where a report surfaced that Bucs brass was not on board with Josh Freeman as their quarterback. Since then, head coach Greg Schiano has done nothing but express his support for him. Making a guest appearance on NFL Network’s “NFL Total Access,” the second-year head coach once again answered the “Who’s your quarterback” question. We only have...
So much for Mike Glennon thinking he can be the next rookie to become Russell Wilson and banish a team's starter to the bench.
That's not going to happen when the head coach continually tells people that the incumbent starter's job is safe.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano popped on the NFL Network Monday and reiterated that it's Josh Freeman'...
Entering the offseason, there were those that questioned
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach Greg Schiano’s backing of quarterback Josh
Freeman. The team did little to ease this suspicion when it selected quarterback
Mike Glennon in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Still, Schiano told The
NFL Network yesterday that Freeman is the team’s quarterback.
Greg Schiano: We have...
Greg Schiano's Tampa Bay Buccaneers have some nice pieces to work with moving forward. There are a lot of talented players in key positions, but...
We’ve seen Josh Freeman‘s ability to tuck the ball in and run in the past. In 2012, we rarely saw any of Freeman’s scrambling ability when he had an open lane or when he could have gotten out of a sack or two. Could that change this season?
In 2010, his first full season as a starter, Freeman ran for 364 yards on 68 attempts. In 2011, he ran for 238 yards on 55 attempts. But...
After giving rookie Mike Glennon numerous Lewinsky’s, Tampa Bay head coach Greg Schiano now insists the Buccaneers “only have one quarterback” and “it’s Josh Freeman.” “[Freeman] had a really good spring,” said Schiano, 46, a clown’s pocket who thinks he’s tougher than Balls Mahoney. “I think it’s really coming together, being in this system for a second year...
Well that didn't take long!
If you were wondering how long it would be before Bucs great Ronde Barber who has joined FOX SPORTS to broadcast a Tampa Bay Bucs game, the answer will be...the first one.
It was announced by WFLA that Ronde Barber will announce Bucs game with Fox veteran Chris Myers.
