The Buccaneers play in a very difficult division, and they're still busy picking up the pieces from the short-lived Raheem Morris era. The man the team chose to re-build with is Greg Schiano, but he shouldn't get too comfortable. He could be gone at the end of the year.

As a general rule, I don't like to let my personal biases into my writing, especially on a league wide site, but from here on out, you'll notice some definite slants.

Greg Schiano is an embarrassing excuse for a coach. He is nearly universally detested by folks around the NFL, and in his time at Rutgers, he made few, if any, friends.

Now that I have that bit off my chest, it takes a combination of factors for a first year coach to be fired. The first bit is a lack of wins at the end of the day. Schiano will have a tough time hitting 8 wins with the Buccaneers. They're simply too inconsistent on the field, and as I mentioned earlier, their talent level just isn't there yet.

The next reason is a lack of respect from folks around the league. Whether Schiano realizes it yet or not, he's a joke around the league and in the blogosphere. While he may be trying to force a late game fumble, he's pissing off coaches that actually garner respect like Tom Coughlin and Jason Garrett. The man is, for lack of a better term, an idiot that simply doesn't deserve respect.

The fatal ingredient, however, will come when the Buccaneers quit playing for Schiano. While their coach may not realize how arrogant he looks, his team isn't that naive. People don't like being made fun of, and the Buccaneers' players will eventually fight against the reason the whole team is a running joke.

A kneel down should be an uncontested play. With Schiano's system, every time the opposition is in a position to take a knee to end a game, the national media will collectively point and laugh as Tampa Bay's defense lunges stupidly forward. Schiano was viewed as a bully at the college level, and luckily for everyone including Bucs fans, he won't be at the pro level long enough to gain such a reputation.
