Is Greg Williams’s time with the Saints over? According to Adam Schefter, Williams will be a part of Jeff Fishers new coaching staff with the Rams. Williams might have worn out his welcome with the Saints and could be looking for a fresh start.
Schefter always tweets the Saints could be looking at Steve Spagnuolo and Mike Nolan to replace Williams as the Saints DC. Both Spagnuolo and Nolan would be upgrades to what Williams brought to the table. Williams did win a Super Bowl with the Saints, but since then the Saints defense has been mediocre.
If I am Jeff Fisher I would be looking at Nolan or Spagnuolo to run my defense instead of Williams. Both guys have better track records. Williams is still in the top half of coordinators in the league, but not better then Spagnuolo or Nolan.
