More than a dozen Ravens players enjoy playing a game of beanbag toss, a competition also known as cornhole that involves throwing beanbags into a hole of a slightly raised board from about 10-15 yards away.
So imagine their surprise when they discovered that the boards had been removed from the team’s locker room.
Well, there’s a simple explanation. Nose tackle Kelly Gregg took the boards and hid them in a utility closet.
“I got out of a meeting early and came in here and hid them,” Gregg recalled. “I never thought I’d see 50 grown men cry. They were dying. They were breaking up. I told them [coach John] Harbaugh took them, and they were freaking out. There was going to be a mutiny. They were sad and crying.”
Gregg said he – and no one else – came up with the prank.
“I know how much these guys love that game, that they would think that the world had ended when I hid it,” he said. “I hid it in the cleaning closet around by the bathroom, and they were all up in arms. It wa...
