QB Rex Grossman has been signed to another 1 year contract.  With RGIII expected to be in Washington, Grossman will be a mentor?  Not sure if Grossman is the best for that job, but the Redskins need a backup QB, so he’ll have to do. The Redskins have also signed CB Cedric Griffin, formerly of the Vikings.  That’s 2 Griffins on one team.  Who has not been signed? London Fletcher.  Please stay London!  Can’t imagine watching the Redskins without you.

Washington Redskins: Rex Grossman Wants To Help Robert Griffin III Grow

The Washington Redskins re-signed quarterback Rex Grossman to a one-year deal last Saturday, as expected. Instead of entering the 2012 NFL Season competing for the starting position, Grossman knows that he will be grooming, in terms of understanding the Redskins’ offensive system, the organization’s next franchise signal caller. A tenth-year vet who commands a minimum salary...

Redskins re-sign Rex Grossman. How many RG3s can one team stand?

The Washington Redskins waited until St. Patrick's evening when America is fixated on the NCAA Tournament to announce the re-signing of quarterback Rex Grossman III. Yes, Rex the Third is his full name. Rex Grossman, his grandfather I suspect, played for the Baltimore Colts and Detroit Lions as a kicker and middle linebacker from 1948 to 1950. Thus, the Redskins will have two...

Redskins bring back Rex Grossman

According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the Redskins have re-signed free agent quarterback Rex Grossman. As much as Redskins fans don’t want to have to look at Grossman anymore, it’s a smart move because he already knows the offense and it will allow the coaches to focus on teaching Robert Griffin III the system once he’s drafted and comes in. Also as bad as Grossman...

LaRon Landry Ends His Sorry Redskins Career, Signs With Jets

LaRon Landry, five years removed from being drafted No. 6 overall, is leaving the Redskins for a one-year, $4 million deal with the Jets. Not much to say other than, well, it was a strange and disappointing five years. Good luck to The Ron, and good luck to any shirts with sleeves in the NY metropolitan area. They’ll need it.

The Sex Cannon to mentor RG3

The Washington Redskins made their big move of the offseason when they decided to trade a belly of early round picks, so that they could move in the the Rams #2 spot. The plan is to draft Robert Griffin III out of Baylor. Everyone wonders if he will start immediately, but that idea might have been eliminated when the Skins decided to bring back Rex Grossman on a 1-year deal, according...
