A league source has confirmed that Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden has signed a three-year extension worth $3.6 million to remain with the team. The length of the extension and terms are similar to two years ago when defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer decided to remain with the team. The extension was first reported by Local 6 out of Orlando.
In his first season with the Bengals, the offense made some strides with rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green, who set numerous team rookie records. Gruden declined an interview request from the Rams and said on Tuesday that he was happy with the direction of the offense and felt like he had unfinished business here.
