After days of rumors and snubs, a seeming lack of urgency on the part of the front office, and about 3,000 too-many mentions of the name "Gruden", the Eagles finally have their next head coach. Possibly. But, they definitely do. Maybe.
According to former NFL-er Kevin O'Connell of San Diego's 1360 AM, Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is on his way to Philadelphia not for a second interview, but for contract talk. At last, the Eagles have their coach--a defensive-minded one who is not Bill Cowher or Brian Kelly or Bill O'Brien, too, thank god!
BUT WAIT. Before you break out the midnight-green confetti and erect a shrine to Buddy Ryan (just kidding, we all know you already have a shrine to Buddy Ryan), Geoff Mosher is here to ruin your day with his usually dilligent reporting on Comcast Sportsnet:
Gus Bradley will have his second meeting with the Eagles today and
remains high on their list of candidates to replace Andy Reid but

The Eagles Stumble with Chip Kelly hire
It was announced earlier today that the Philadelphia Eagles have hired Chip Kelly to be there next head coach. I guess owner Jeffrey Loria finally came to this conclusion - that Kelly would be his best choice - after interviewing almost every available recently fired coach or assistant in the NFL over the last two weeks. So is this a good hire or bad hire?Completely awful. Howard Eskin of WIP in Philadelphia was a guest on ESPN 980′s Inside the Lockerroom and indicated that even though Chip Kelly is now the Eagles’ head coach, quarterback Michael Vick is still likely on the way out.

Chipity flip flop: Philadelphia hires Chip Kelly as head coach
The Eagles finally got off the pot and in a big way landing their top choice in their coaching search, Oregon’s Chip Kelly.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen confirmed on Wednesday that Kelly had taken the job. Neither the Eagles’ nor Oregon University has confirmed the news, but reports have since surfaced that Kelly has accepted the Eagles’ offer.
Kelly is 46-7 in four years at...
Gang Green defense to return to Philly as eagles close to signing Gus Bradley
Last night Howard Eskin reported that the Eagles will soon be signing a deal to make Seattle’s Gus Bradley Head Coach. In what we should clearly be excited about, the new Gang Green Defense! Bradley helped lead Seattle to the playoffs with the number four ranked defense and number one scoring defense.
A huge departure from the offense first under Andy Reid, Jeff Lurie said that...
Eagles, Gus Bradley not a done deal yet
It was reported earlier that Gus Bradley will be the Philadelphia Eagles’ new head coach. It looks like that report was premature.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bradley will arrive in Philly today for a second interview and is also scheduled to meet with the Jaguars.

Last season was hell for Philadelphia Eagles fans. The team started well, and then it was clear they were lousy. Andy Reid and all the feelings toward him became the topic of discussion. Fired after 14 years with the Philadelphia Eagles in his first head coaching position, Andy Reid will take over for Romeo Crennel in Kansas City. The Chiefs finished the 2012 season 2-14, their worst season in franchise history.
Andy Reid is a man of many words. He just never says anything significant.
After 14 seasons, five NFC championship appearances and one loss in the Super...

According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles have not confirmed that they interviewed former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Whisenhunt has now met with four teams and in my opinion is one of the best available candidates.
