Hakeem Nicks Ain’t Impressing The Ladies in 2012

The number one receiver on the defending Super Bowl champ New York Giants, Hakeem Nicks, has had a rough start to the 2012 season.  Nicks started strong in week 2 against Tampa Bay with 10 catches for 199 yards, but has since only caught 17 balls for 191 yards.  Nicks took to the airwaves this week and proved once again – athletes say the darndest things. Nicks, when asked about his poor receiving statistics, said “Stats is for girls. It’s football, man.” Sure, no one is claiming that Nicks is the most P.C. or brightest football player out there, but really?!  The comment received even more negative buzz when Nicks (via a Giants spokesperson) attempted to clarify the statement by explaining that his high school coach used to claim that guys use stats to impress girls. Unfortunately for Nicks, he ain’t getting girls through his numbers or his charm in 2012. Yet, luckily for Giants fans, he won’t be distracted by chasing tail and instead will chase balls.
