Giants Football Today:
New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has officially returned to practice after suffering a fractured foot this offseason.
“I might have some fresh legs. That’s the good thing about it,” said Nicks, per the Newark Star-Ledger. “But I’m just excited to be back out there practicing with the team. I can’t wait to start going for real.”
“Yep, big day. Get out there, practice, excited about that,” Nicks said. “I did a little bit of stuff last week, individual, that’s all they would let me do. So just today, I’ll get to do the reps with the team period, stuff like that.”
“I’ve been running routes now for about two weeks,” Nicks said. “I ran every route in the route book and haven’t had a problem. I just have to go out there and take care of the things I need to take care of and stay on top of it.”
It looks like as long as their aren’t any set backs, Nicks should be ready to go for the season opener.

Fullback Henry Hynoski is not going to carry the ball early or often, but as he did against the New York Jets on Saturday night, he may hit opposing teams with the occasional surprise attack.
Hynoski's two-yard plunge for a first down on 3rd-and-1 wasn't anticipated. It never so much as crossed the minds of Gang Green, nor did it cross minds of those watching...
The Giants players are in hot water with Tom Coughlin because of this video that was poster on the internet by Giants P Steve Weatherford. It shows Jason Pierre Paul carrying Prince Amukamura through the locker and has him getting tossed in a cold tub. Like rookie hazing, but Prince is a 2nd year pro.
Prince: “Yeah, um, well, I mean, I just don’t get it. I don’t understand...
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin expressed his displeasure with the viral video of Jason Pierre-Paul throwing Prince Amukamara into a cold tub.
“I’m going to look into it. I’m going to talk to the parties involved,” Coughlin said, per Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. “As I’m understanding it, there were some parts of it that were inappropriate...
Despite developing a blood clot in his left leg a little more than a week ago, there is a chance New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers might play this season.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Tuesday that the 12-year-veteran got a second opinion about his injury, and the team has ''a ray of hope'' that Rogers will be able to get back on the field.
While they understand the public's concern over what might be perceived as an apparent hazing incident involving Prince Amukamara, several New York Giants insist that throwing the second-year cornerback into a tub of ice water was a football tradition and not bullying.
Amukamara and Jason Pierre-Paul, the Pro Bowl defensive end who threw him into the metal ice tub, said Monday...
(1.) Where was New York media last week when Giants rookie wide receiver Rueben Randle was bound with tape and thrown into a ice pool (uploaded by Corey Webster)? (2.) Tom Coughlin suddenly has an issue with locker room antics reaching social media? (3.) What’s worse: throwing a helpless guy into an ice pool or dunking Prince Amukamara, who has use of his hands to get out of the...
New York Giants 1st-round pick David Wilson received first-team reps at practice on Monday according to the Star Ledger. Tom Coughlin reportedly said this was a planned move for Monday’s practice, but Mike Garafolo notes the move came on the heels of a poor performance by D.J. Ware in the Giants preseason game over the weekend.
The Giants have been easing Wilson into a larger role...
The one time that I interviewed NY Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul was three months ago, and I made sure to ask him whether or not he was excited to haze a new class of rookies. His answer was...

The New York Giants faced off against the New York Jets at the Meadowlands last night in a much anticipated preseason game.
The atmosphere was playoff-like as both teams were ready to claim bragging rights in New York.
The final score was 26-3 Giants, but that did not tell the whole story of this game.
