New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has officially returned to practice after suffering a fractured foot this offseason.
“I might have some fresh legs. That’s the good thing about it,” said Nicks, per the Newark Star-Ledger. “But I’m just excited to be back out there practicing with the team. I can’t wait to start going for real.”
“Yep, big day. Get out there, practice, excited about that,” Nicks said. “I did a little bit of stuff last week, individual, that’s all they would let me do. So just today, I’ll get to do the reps with the team period, stuff like that.”
“I’ve been running routes now for about two weeks,” Nicks said. “I ran every route in the route book and haven’t had a problem. I just have to go out there and take care of the things I need to take care of and stay on top of it.”
It looks like as long as their aren’t any set backs, Nicks should be ready to go for the season opener.
