The NFL is really trying to erase all traces of Aaron Hernandez from our memories. Even the Pro Football Hall of Fame is getting involved. It is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but if you just look to be guilty, the NFL doesn’t want to have anything to do with you. According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the folks at Canton decided to get rid of an award-winning picture of Hernandez high-stepping into the end zone against the Packers during a 2010 game (seen above). “In the spirit of good taste we thought we’d take it down,” Joe Horrigan, the hall’s VP of communication and exhibits, said. I am curious what happens if Aaron Hernandez is found not guilty of all these charges? It is unlikely that will happen because besides being accused of murder, he did have a ton of illegal weapons as well, but let’s just assume he did. What would the NFL do?

The Pouncey Brothers are University of Florida alums, so that is the connection between them and Aaron Hernandez. Technically, it is innocent until proven guilty and every defendant has a presumption of innocence, so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with wearing these hats.

This could be one of the dumbest things ever done by high profile athletes. Really, this makes Ochocinco taping his lawyer on the rear after a verdict seem smart. Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder and all signs point towards him being guilty. But that did not stop the Pouncey twins from wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a party.
There are rumors that the Pouncey brothers...
Hot News for TE Aaron Hernandez
After receiving complaints from visitors, who visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame, who walked past a photo of former New England Patriots tight-end Aaron Hernandez running for a touchdown against Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields back in 2010 [below], the hall's vice president Joe Horrigan ordered the photo to be removed:In the spirit of good taste we thought we'...
Mike and Maurkice Pouncey are apparently firm believers in “innocent until proven guilty.”
The identical twin centers were spotted wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a nightclub. Mike and Maurkice, who play for the Dolphins and Steelers, respectively, were teammates with Aaron Hernandez at the University of Florida. Mike was Hernandez’s roommate in Gainesville.
The Pouncey brothers were both teammates of Aaron Hernandez, so when they showed up on the internet wearing "Free Hernandez" hats, it wasn't surprising.
It also wasn't surprising when their respective teams, the Dolphins and Steelers, were reportedly not happy about that incident. Pittsburgh appears to have gotten to the older brother Maurkice, as he today released...
In America you are deemed innocent until proven guilty. However, the court of public opinion often operates from a slightly different tilt. Two twin brother NFL players are showing their support for accused murderer, former Patriot, Aaron Hernandez. The Pouncey twins played with Hernandez at the University of Florida and won a BCS title together. The twins have set internet tongues...
Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien took the opportunity to throw a zinger in the New England Patriots’ direction during one of his recent opening monologues. Conan was discussing a new DC Comic in which Superman kills someone, then jokes that the Patriots signed him afterwards – obviously a reference to the whole Aaron Hernandez murder saga.
On a related note, Superman...
Three weeks ago, Carlos Ortiz had a much different relationship with former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. The 27-year-old was not a star witness who may be providing investigators with enough information to put Hernandez away for life. Instead, he was a close friend. Ortiz hangs around on a street called Davis Drive [...]
Brothers Mike and Maurkice Pouncey took some heat over the weekend when a photo of the NFL centers wearing “Free Hernandez” hats, as in former Florida teammate Aaron Hernandez, at a nightclub surfaced on the interwebs. Now, they appear to be backing away from that staunch statement.
Maurkice took to Twitter on Monday morning to express his deep regret for appearing to make...
When the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos faced each other toward the end of the 2011 season, reporters couldn’t wait to capture the postgame handshake between Tom Brady and Tim Tebow. Brady and Tebow are two of the most popular players in football, and Tebow had been defying the odds at that point by [...]
Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey has
apologized for wearing a baseball cap supporting former college
teammate Aaron Hernandez.
Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey and his twin brother Mike Pouncey of the Miami Dolphins will both turn 24 in a little over a week, but being as training camps will be starting soon, they decided to celebrate early with a party Saturday night at Club Cameo in Miami.
According to Deadspin, during the party the Pouncey twins were photographed wearing 'Free Hernandez...
