Happy Birthday, Giants 101

Although the very first article wasn't published until September 8th, on this day five long years ago, Giants 101 as we know it was born. After moving over from Xanga (where it lacked a name), Giants 101 was established on Most Valuable Network along with a Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Red Sox blog. It was, if I recall correctly, the only New York Giants blog affiliated with a network and one of the few available to readers at the time. For the first year, G101 was a relatively small blog with very few readers...but it quickly blossomed and became one of most popular Big Blue Blogs on the internet. Since its inception in 2004, Giants 101 has won various awards including Deadspin's Blogdom's Best (Giants blog), the 2005 Sports Blog Awards Best NFL Blog and the 2007 Blogger's Choice Award for Best Sports Blog.
